Camp Ocean Pines is a beautiful 13-acre retreat center on the California coast, perfectly spaced between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

It is a songwriter’s dream for all levels, whether you want to explore songwriting for the first time or are a seasoned singer-songwriter. Come immerse yourself in all aspects of the songwriting craft. Students and instructors make music together and learn together. The camp includes all classes and activities, four days of lodging from Thursday evening to Monday morning, and three hot, delicious meals a day (with vegetarian and vegan options). Attend our many workshops and classes to focus on your musical, lyrical, or performance skills, or sit and write under a tree. Perform at night at “Coffeehouse” in front of a safe and supportive audience, and join in on the late-night song circles.

This camp follows the footsteps of singer-songwriter, teacher, and beloved friend Penny Nichols. Her intimate songwriting gatherings, called SummerSongs, have spawned countless songs and friendships. With Pacific Songwriting Camp, we are continuing her spirit of creating community through music and song.
